A Voter Bill of Rights
Because Government Should Work for the People
What This Means
Americans may disagree on many issues, but there are fundamental rights and expectations that most voters support. This Voter Bill of Rights is a guide to what we, as a people, should demand from our government—without partisan gridlock standing in the way.
Disagreements on some issues should not prevent progress on what we all agree on. No more political games. No more holding good policies hostage because of unrelated battles. It’s time to move forward on the issues that unite us.
The American People’s Bill of Rights
1. The Right to Affordable Healthcare
No American should have to choose between medical care and financial ruin. We need price transparency, lower drug costs, and a system that prioritizes patients over profits.
2. The Right to Term Limits for Congress
A government run by career politicians doesn’t serve the people. Term limits will ensure fresh ideas, accountability, and less corruption.
3. The Right to Fair Taxation
Middle-class families should not carry the tax burden while billionaires and corporations exploit loopholes. A fair tax system should benefit all Americans, not just the wealthy.
4. The Right to Secure Social Security
Americans have paid into Social Security their entire working lives. It must be protected, strengthened, and never used as a political bargaining chip.
5. The Right to Affordable Housing
Housing should be within reach for working Americans. Policies should support homeownership, reduce homelessness, and prevent rent price gouging.
6. The Right to Government Transparency and Accountability
Elected officials work for the people, not corporations, lobbyists, or their own interests.
7. Clear oversight, accountability, and an end to political corruption.
8. The Right to a Balanced Federal Budget
Government spending must be responsible. Reckless spending and endless national debt hurt future generations. A balanced budget should be a priority.
9. The Right to Clean Air and Water
No American should have to worry about unsafe drinking water or polluted air. Environmental policies should prioritize public health, not special interests.
10. The Right to Privacy and Data Protection
Americans should have control over their personal data. Stronger privacy laws are needed to protect against surveillance, data breaches, and corporate misuse of information.
11. The Right to Small Business Support
Small businesses drive the economy. We need policies that reduce unnecessary red tape, provide better funding options, and create a fair playing field against large corporations.
12. The Right to Secure Borders and Efficient Immigration Reform
A fair and functional immigration system benefits everyone. Border security and an efficient path to legal status should not be partisan issues.
13. The Right to Election Security and Voting Access
Every eligible American should be able to vote easily and securely, with safeguards against fraud and suppression.
14. The Right to Lower Drug Prices
Americans should not pay more for prescription drugs than other countries. We need legislation that stops price gouging and promotes fair pricing.
15. The Right to Fair Wages and Economic Opportunity
Wages should keep up with inflation. The economy should work for everyone—not just the top 1%.
16. The Right to Safer Communities
17. A Political Environment Without Fake News
( not a complete list & subject to change without notice )
Why This Matters
These are not partisan issues. These are American issues. Progress should not be held hostage because one party wants revenge for a past vote. The American people deserve action on the things we all agree on.
It’s time for government to work for the people—not politicians, special interests, or party loyalty.
We demand progress on what unites us. No more gridlock. No more excuses.
